Gas Boilers

Gas Boilers – For Convenience And Efficiency

Gas is the most common fuel used to heat homes. Its convenience allows it to power a variety of boiler systems, whilst providing reassurance that you use a common and widely available fuel for your heating. If you are choosing a new boiler, then chances are it will be a gas boiler. There are three types of gas boilers available, these are Condensing Gas Boilers, System Gas Boilers, and Conventional or Heat Only Gas Boilers, all with extensive ranges available from places like British Gas.

Types Of Gas Boilers

  • Condensing Boilers

Are the most energy efficient, and will therefore save you money on your energy bill, and help you reduce your carbon footprint. They do not require a hot water tank, so less installation space is needed making them ideal for smaller homes. The most common type of a condensing boiler is a combi boiler.
  • System Boilers

These work by storing hot water in a cylinder, so they can supply hot water to multiple taps. They do not require a separate hot water tank in the loft, therefore are great for larger families looking to free up valuable space in their loft.
  • Heat Only Boilers

These work similarly to System Boilers by providing instant hot water and central heating. They do however require a second hot water tank in the loft, which means they are best suited for larger homes with an existing heat only boiler.
