Electric boilers can be used instead of gas boilers for most heating systems, and are a good choice for smaller homes such as flats or bungalows where there is no access to gas supply. Types Of Electric Boilers

• Condensing Electric Boilers

  Are environmentally friendly, with zero toxic fumes. They provide instant hot water, and central heating. They are compact, and do not require a hot water tank, so less installation space is needed making them ideal for people who live in flats, or smaller homes. The most common type of a condensing boiler is the combi boiler.

• System Electric Boilers

  These work with a hot water storage cylinder which is usually kept in an airing cupboard. Hot water can be supplied to multiple taps, making them a great choice for larger families where demand for hot water is high. These will free up valuable loft space too, because a second hot water tank is not required.

• Heat Only Electric Boilers

  Will provide instant hot water and central heating just like the System Boiler. A second hot water storage tank is required in the loft, which means that they are best suited for larger homes with free loft space.
